ANSONIA - The Derby Historical Society will hold its annual meeting and program at 1 p.m. Sunday at Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff St.
Seymour resident Carolyn Ivanoff, a Shelton Intermediate School administrator, will present “An Afternoon with First Lady Dolley Madison.”
She will speak about the founding of the nation, her husband James Madison’s role as the Father of the U.S. Constitution, and the War of 1812.
Derby resident Daniel Waleski will receive the Dorothy Larson Award.
Historical society members are reminded to renew their annual $30 dues. Lifetime membership is $150.
