SEYMOUR — New Economic Development Director Fred A. Messore said investing in one’s downtown is probably the most important thing any community can do.
“We need to invest in the core of our community; you can’t have a strong community without a strong downtown,” Messore said.
To that end, Messore has requested a rather substantial increase in his 2012-13 economic development budget; a 744 percent increase, to be exact.
