Derby, Ansonia talking dog park

Two Naugatuck Valley towns are thinking of building a dog park, together or separately.
In Derby, Alderman Ken Hughes, R-3, said the city has been working on the idea for about a year. Hughes said the concept is very preliminary, but a park would be built in conjunction with a ban on dogs on the Greenway. Derby residents have complained for years about dog waste there.
Derby allows dogs on the Greenway, while Ansonia bans the pets on its Riverwalk.
