2 honored for oustanding service to school

St. Mary-St. Michael School Principal Linda Coppola joins honorees Jim Foley, left, of Ansonia, and Mike Orazietti of Derby, at the 35th anniversary HOPES (Help Our Parish Elementary Schools) Dinner sponsored by the Office of Catholic Schools, Archdiocese of Hartford. 
The event was held in September at the Aqua Turf Club, Southington. The gathering of more than 530 included pastors, principals, and volunteer leaders representing several school constituencies – parents, grandparents, past parents, alumni, and friends.

Ninety-nine representatives from 46 schools were honored with the 2012 St. John Neumann Award for Volunteer Service, in recognition of outstanding service to Catholic education at the parish school level.
