Lady Wildcat Swimmers go pink for the cause
Seymour High School Girls Varsity Swim Team Friday hosted its second annual "Swim for Hope" Swim Meet in honor of breast cancer and in conjunction with Seymour Pink, Inc.
The Lady Wildcat Swimmers competed against St. Joseph High School-Trumbull which happens to be the school that Seymour Pink founder Mary Deming attended.
Both teams raised funds and donations to help the fight.
Despite the 92-78 loss by Seymour, several girls posted a season best time in their events.
Emma Crocamo did win the 100 Breaststroke( 1:16.81) and Rose Washbrook won the 50 Freestyle(28.08). Seymour's team record drops to 4-7.
The above information was provided by Missy Orosz, head coach, Seymour High School girls varsity swimming.
