... and a bit more pink in Seymour

This electronic message board outside Peak Fitness in Seymour is in the spirit.

As I mentioned in a previous post my colleague Jean Falbo-Sosnovich and I visited downtown Seymour yesterday in search of pinkness on "Seymour Pink Day."

She wrote a story that is in today's paper and I took photos that I posted here.

We also went to Peak Fitness at Klarides Village Shopping Center on Route 67.

Gym owner Karin Klarides Marinaro talked about her experience with many friends, neighbors, and relatives who had been afflicted with breast cancer as she ran on this pink treadmill.

Marinaro said she gains inspiration from Marci White, a fitness instructor who works at the gym. White recently underwent breast cancer surgery.

These are two of the many banners that have been raised in town.

For a cancer survivor, the message on this pink pumpkin at Peak Fitness pretty much says it all.
