The event is held each year
at Warsaw Park, 119 Pulaski Highway.
Area senior citizens are invited to attend and participate.
Features of this year’s fair
include free glaucoma screening, free therapeutic
massage, and free dental screenings, Crisco said.
Admission is free for residents of Crisco’s 17th District; a box lunch will be provided.
“I want to encourage all area seniors
to attend – more than 40 non-profit groups, state and local agencies,
and civic organizations with helpful products and services for seniors
are registered to exhibit at this year’s Senior
Fair,” Crisco said. “There is no substitute for
face-to-face contact with those who can benefit; vendors routinely
describe the pleasure they take interacting on a personal level with
senior citizens at this event.”
“This fair has repeatedly served the best interests of 17th
District seniors and has proven itself time and again as a most
effective outreach tool, matching
products and information about state and local services, programs, and
activities with those for whom they are intended and who can best use
the information,” Crisco said.
“We’ve had such an enthusiastic response to
this event in previous years – I would encourage all those who can
attend to do so again.”
This information is taken from a release from Crisco's office.
