Treats, no tricks planned Saturday for kids in Seymour

A story by Register Correspondent Jean Falbo-Sosnovich about a Halloween event was in today's Register and I thought I'd post the info here.

Halloween and fun go hand and hand, and Seymour kids can get a head start on the fun Saturday during the Seymour Culture and Art Commission’s sixth “Downtown Trick or Treat Day.”

It will run 1 to 3 p.m. in the business district for town children ages 10 and younger.

Kids in costumes must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. They are asked to meet at the Strand Theater on Main Street, where a list of participating downtown merchants will be handed out. Trick-or-treaters will go door-to-door at the businesses listed.

Merchants also are getting into the Halloween spirit by decorating their storefronts, and competing in a “best store display” contest.
