ANSONIA - Emmett O’Brien Technical High School, 141 Prindle Ave., will hold its annual Open House from 5-7 p.m. Nov. 8.
Tours will begin with an orientation and brief overview of Emmett O’Brien’s programs of study.
Student guides will escort families to the shop areas where instructors from each trade will describe their curriculum.
The curriculum features 10 trade offerings including Auto Mechanics, Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, Electrical, Health Technology, Hairdressing and Cosmetology, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Manufacturing Technology and Plumbing and Heating.
The school offers a complete high school academic curriculum and athletic and extra-curricular programs.
O’Brien graduates receive a dual diploma: High School Academics and Trade Certificates. Emmett O’Brien enrolls 550 students from the Valley and surrounding towns.
