ANSONIA — A small knot of young men paused outside Riverside Apartments Thursday afternoon to talk about the shooting of Marquvios Mullins, 17.
“He’s everybody’s friend,” one man said.
“Wrong place at the wrong time,” another said.
They did not want to be named.
While their friend was in serious condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital, the men said whoever shot Mullins, a junior at Ansonia High School, was not from the neighborhood.
“We all stick together,” one said. “We call each other cousins.”
