SEYMOUR — The Land Trust’s newly renovated banquet and meeting hall was spared from being shut down Thursday by the Planning and Zoning Commission, but the zoning violations recently discovered there must be promptly fixed.
The PZC will allow the Land Trust to keep its temporary certificate of occupancy based on the Land Trust meeting several conditions in order to address two zoning violations that occurred as a result of the renovation project.
PZC Chairman Jim Baldwin recently informed the Land Trust about some encroachment issues that violated zoning regulations. They included a portion of the newly expanded deck being built on town land, and a retaining wall that was not built correctly.
