DERBY — City Tax Collector Cinda B. Buchter has resigned her post.
Mayor Anthony Staffieri said Wednesday night that Buchter will stay on the job to help with the transition. He said her replacement will probably be announced next week.
Staffieri praised Buchter’s work, saying she is “very knowledgeable” and he is “sorry to see her go.”
The mayoral-appointed position is a union job, he said.
