ANSONIA — About 50 people, including several who took turns carrying a cross, participated in a Way of the Cross on Good Friday.
The solemn procession symbolizes the final hours of Jesus Christ’s life.
For Christians, Good Friday marks the day Christ died on the cross.
Young and old from Valley congregations gathered in Veterans’ Memorial Park next to City Hall before proceeding up Main Street.
They were escorted by police officers in cruisers
