Ansonia Cultural Commission throws a lively party
Focus on friends, memories, music
ANSONIA - Those who know me know I'm not much of a party person, but my husband Ralph and I did enjoy ourselves Friday night at the 10th annual AHS/PHS All-Decades Reunion for Ansonia and Pine High School graduates.
Although neither of us is an alum, our kids graduated from Ansonia High School in '06 and '08,
The reunion was held both inside and on the patio at Molto Bene Italian American Kitchen (the former John J. Sullivan's Restaurant). The weather was perfect for an outdoor party.
It was a regular Friday night schedule for the restaurant, which includes live bands on the patio each weekend.

The Bernadettes rock the patio. It helps to remember to use the flash on the camera.

Judy Nicolari, Cultural Commission chairwoman, and commission member Jimmy Little dance the night away. My guess is they had a good time.

I imagine Judy is already planning the 11th annual reunion...stay tuned!

Ansonia alums to share walk down memory lane
ANSONIA - The Ansonia Cultural Commission is sponsoring its 10th Annual AHS/PHS All Decades Reunion Aug. 16 at Molto Bene, 557 Wakelee Ave. (formerly John J. Sullivan's restaurant).
The free event starts at 6 p.m.
"The Bernadettes" will be featured that evening on the patio. They will perform Motown, golden oldies and more.
All classmates are invited, if they choose to listen, at a cover charge of $5.
This is separate from the reunion and all members are asked to mingle with the crowd, as they do attract a large audience.
There also will be access to the inside bar areas.
Classmates are asked to either dine before coming or order from the restaurant menu. There will be a cash bar for those who are interested.
For information call Judy, 203-732-1040.

Save the date for reunion in Ansonia
ANSONIA - Cultural Commission chairwoman Judy Nicolari urges graduates of Ansonia High School and the former Pine High School, and their spouses to save the date for this summer's All-Decades Reunion.
The event will start at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 on the patio at John J. Sullivan's restaurant, 557 Wakelee Ave.
Nicolari said appetizers will be served, and there will be piped-in music, prizes, good conversations and more.
"It's a great opportunity to get caught up with everyone who shared that wonderful high school experience," Nicolari said.
Admission is $15 and the restaurant owners will be giving back $5 to the Cultural Commission to be applied toward future summer concerts.
