SEYMOUR - Seymour Soccer Association & AFC Soccer Camp registration will be held
July 14 - 18 at Seymour Middle School, 211 Mountain Road.

Seymour soccer slates sign-ups
SEYMOUR - Seymour Soccer Association's season runs from mid-August through early November.
Fee for In-House Recreation
Program (U6 and U8 Divisions) is $90 per child; travel program is $130
per child.
In-person
registration will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. June 11 in the basement of the Community Center, 20 Pine St.

Forms must be
postmarked by June 30 to avoid $15 late fee.

Summer soccer league planned in Oxford
OXFORD - The Oxford Soccer League is offering, for the first time, an opportunity for high
school age boys to participate in a summer soccer league, coordinated
through CJSA South Central District.
The purpose of the league is to
prepare players for the fall high school soccer season and any level
player is welcome.
The league runs for four weeks, mid-July to mid-August, with two games weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays.
There will be one practice per week.
Deadline for registrationis June 12.

SEYMOUR - Register now for Seymour Soccer Association’s 2014 Indoor Winter Soccer Clinics taught by AFC Professionals.
Cost is $50 per player.
Sessions are open to kids ages four-15.
There will be eight Saturday afternoon sessions at Seymour Middle School beginning Jan. 4.
Limited enrollment per session – first come, first served. All entries must be postmarked by Dec. 21.
Skills taught will include: Individual attention/foot skills, first touch and receiving, 1 vs.1 defending and attacking moves, combination play, passing, and speed of play.

Summer soccer camp slated in Seymour
SEYMOUR - Summer soccer day camp offers basic technical and tactical training for the youth player in an environment that is challenging and enjoyable.
The curriculum designed to teach common skills and individual and team strategies from beginners to intermediate players.
Each camp session is taught by Academica Futbol Club (AFC) Professional Premier Staff.
Fee includes ball and T-shirt. There is a $10 discount for second child registered.

In-House Program (younger children) will consist of one weeknight practice and one game on Sunday.
The Travel Program (older children) will play teams from area towns and will have two weeknight practices and a weekend game.

'Get Your Kicks' Tasting to benefit Seymour soccer
SEYMOUR - Seymour Soccer Association is hosting a Wine & Beer Tasting benefit for local youth soccer May 19 from 7-10 p.m. at Villa Bianca, 312 Roosevelt Drive, Route 34.
“Get Your Kicks” Tasting will offer samples of wine and beer and will draw for “you-know-you-want-them” door and raffle prizes.
Tickets are $35 in advance; $40 at the door. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment, including acoustic tunes by Sammy Blanchette.
Raffle prizes will include a Boston Red Sox donated, autographed color action shot of catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia accompanied by a pair of game tickets to a future Red Sox game at historic Fenway Park, a 40” LCD TV, a Kindle Fire, and a week of soccer camp donated by AFC.
Raffle ticket holders must be present to win.
“The Get Your Kicks benefit will go a long way to ensure that Seymour Soccer continues to provide a means of recreation to all the children of Seymour,” said Beth Carson, an organizer. “We will be better able to develop each child’s skills, physical fitness, and sense of sportsmanship while promoting a fun, team sport in a supportive environment. The fundraising event is going to be a lot of fun – delicious appetizers, live music, and awesome raffle prizes.”
