Ansonia Students to Stage "Guys & Dolls"
ANSONIA = The Ansonia High School and Ansonia Middle School students will be
performing the hit musical “Guys and Dolls,” Jr. on June 3,4,11 and 12. The play
will be held at 7 p.m. each at the Ansonia Middle School Richard F. Nicolari
auditorium, located at 115 Howard Ave.
More than 50 students
have been working tirelessly to stage this timeless musical comedy.
Tickets are now available for $10 in advance, and $12 at the door. For

Seymour church to present musical drama
SEYMOUR - Great Hill United Methodist Church will present the musical drama “Acts
of the Sinners’ Parade ” at 7 p.m. May 31 and at 2 p.m. June 1.
There will be a free pasta dinner at 6 p.m. May 31, followed by the performance at 7 p.m.
This is the third in the
Sinners’ Parade trilogy. It stands by itself, as it concludes the chaotic events from Christ’s journey to the cross, through His resurrection and birth of the Church, as seen through the eyes of our fictitious faith seekers Channah and Baruch.
Presented by the Great
Hill Drama Team, written by Spike Jones and directed by Yashu Putorti, the drama features original music by Barbara
Zanowiak and songs by Bette and Shelb Lanaro.
There is no charge for this
event; however a free will offering will
be taken.

Seymour church to host evening of drama, comedy
SEYMOUR - The Great Hill United Methodist Church Drama Team will host an
evening of drama, comedy, and music from previous productions Saturday.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with a free will offering pasta dinner, followed by “A Biblical Review” at 7 p.m. in Fellowship Hall, 225 Great Hill Road.

The menu includes salad, Great Hill’s famous pasta, warm Italian bread, beverage, and a “dessert to die for.”
The evening of Christian drama will feature six individual performances ranging from a
comedy skit titled “Adam the Adman” followed by three
musical skits titled “The No Good Samaritan, “ “Woman at the Well.” and
“Caught in Adultery” (Stone Her).
The evening will conclude with the musical score from the Drama Team’s previous successful

SEYMOUR - The Great Hill United Methodist Church Drama Team will present a “Biblical

Seymour church to host Lenten suppers, drama presentations

SEYMOUR - Great Hill United Methodist Church, 225 Great Hill Road, will sponsor a series of pasta suppers during Lent.
Each Friday the church will hold a meal, open to the public, which will be followed by a brief dramatic presentation of two Bibical characters who were witnesses to the Easter Story.
They will give their impressions of the event that changed the course of history.
The series will begin Feb. 15 and 22 with potluck pasta dinners, which will feature the dramatic presentation of Judas, Peter, Chief Priests, and Caiaphas.
The remaining Fridays - March 1, 8, 15, and 22 - will feature a pasta supper prepared by church volunteers.
Cost will be $6 for adults, $3 for kids, and $20 for a family of five or more.
The meals will be served from 5:30-7 p.m., followed by presentation of the dramas.
There will be an opportunity afterward to discuss impressions of the presentations.
