Valley Dentist Helps Brighten Holidays
SHELTON- Dr. Bruce Sofferman of Smile Dental Center, 1000 Bridgeport Ave., and his family held their 33rd frozen turkey and canned food drive Nov. 20 to benefit the Spooner House and its Valley Food Bank. The donations will be made into food baskets for more than 600 Valley families in need so they can enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving.

Seymour food bank to benefit from Oxford church event
OXFORD - Immanuel Lutheran Church, 25 Great Hill Road, will hold its eighth annual benefit car show from 4-8 p.m. June 21.

The event will benefit the Valley Food Bank that is housed at Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour.
Registration at the gate is $10. Cutoff year is 1990. Spectators admitted free.
Dash Plaques will be given to the first 100 cars.
There will be sponsor trophies, door prizes and more.

A DJ will be on hand and food, soft drinks, and ice cream will be available for purchase.
