Games, ice cream make for a fun day

Cassetti opens Ansonia senior center as warming location
ANSONIA >> The Doyle Senior Center will be open as a warming
center for Ansonia residents from 1-4 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Saturday, Mayor David S. Cassetti said Thursday afternoon.
Temperatures are expected to be extremely low over the next couple of days.
“I encourage all residents who need to come in from the outside and warm up to stop by the senior center,” Cassetti said.
The senior center is located at 153 Main St.

Ansonia seniors to share ice cream with teens
ANSONIA - The Ansonia High School Human Relations Club will sponsor its third Annual Ice -Cream Social and Games Day from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 23 from at the Doyle Senior Center.
The Human Relations Club has been working for the past four years to increase interaction between high school students and members of the Doyle Senior Center.
Funding is once again made possible by a Neighborhood Small Grants Program sponsored by the Valley Community Foundation.
Admission is free. Games will include Wii, Bocce, line dancing, pool and other interactive activities.
