Edible insects topic of nature center program

ANSONIA -  The Ansonia Nature Center will host Jim Turecek for a special program on insects at 2 p.m. Saturday.
A professional fly fisherman who has worked as a guide, instructor, lecturer and fly fishing theoretician for over 30 years, Jim is usually at the Nature Center to talk about fishing. However, this time his presentation will deal with culinary art and instruction as he amazes his audience with his gusto for well-prepared arthropods.
Are they pests or a source of protein? You may never look at your garden variety pests in the same way again!
Join Nature Center staff and Friends for this unique program. Call 203-736-1053 to register.
Tuition is $2 and includes recipes and samples.
