Game Nights at Derby Public Library

DERBY- Beginning every Wednesday in February, the Derby Public Library will host Young Adult nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m..
 
All young adults ages 12 to 17 are invited to join the fun each Wednesday in February as Nintendo Wii, board games, and Legos will be available. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is requested.

Learn All about 3D Printing at Derby Public Library


DERBY -The Derby Public Library invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to Teen Maker Space, February 16, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, for an Introduction to 3-D Printing.

Attendees will explore various aspects of this new technology. This program is a prerequisite for future 3-D printing programs. Light refreshments will be provided.

Make a Solar-Powered Spider at Derby Public Library


DERBY- The Derby Public Library invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to Teen Maker Space, January 19, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, to learn some electro-mechanical basics by assembling, activating, & operating solar-powered spider kits. Space is limited to 10 participants.

Learn to play chess at Derby Public Library

DERBY- The Derby Public Library Teen Chess Club invites all young adults ages 12 to 17 to meetings on Mondays in March. The club meets from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

All skill levels are welcome.

Participants will learn how the game is played as well as defensive/offensive strategies.

Derby Library to host game night, book talk

DERBY - The Derby Public Library hosts YA Wednesdays on the first three Wednesdays of each month from 6-7 p.m.

All young adults ages 12 to 17 are invited to join the fun Dec. 4, for either “Game Night” featuring the challenges of the Nintendo Wii game system and variety of board games, or “Movie Night” screening of a newly-released DVD.

The Teen Book Talk will be hosted Dec. 11, when participants gather to chat about titles each have recently read.
This venue will focus on sharing reviews and opinions on a variety of titles, as well as provide a means to decide upon future reading.

Holiday treats will be decorated Dec. 18 as participant creativity will be applied to brownie pops and cookies. All materials will be provided.
Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is requested.
