Seymour commission to host free concert
SEYMOUR - Join the Seymour Culture and Arts Commission for a night out featuring a favorite local band, The Starving Artists, from 7-9 p.m. Feb. 15 at Seymour Middle School, 211 Mountain Road.
The concert is free, but those attending are asked to bring a
non-perishable food item for the local food bank (most needed items are
pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter, minute rice, apple sauce and
condiments.)

Impending storm postpones concert in Seymour
SEYMOUR - The Seymour Culture and Arts Commission and the Naugatuck Community Band have postponed Saturday's concert at the Strand Theater to Dec. 21 due to the impending storm.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m.
Dec. 21 at the Strand Theater, 165 Main St.
The performance is free, but those attending are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the local food bank.

Naugatuck Community Band to perform in Seymour
SEYMOUR - The
Naugatuck Community Band will present "Sounds of the Season," a
concert of favorite Christmas and holiday classics old and
new, at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Strand Theater, 165 Main St.
The concert is sponsored by the Seymour Culture and Arts Commission.
A food drive will be part of the event and the public is encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the food bank.
The Naugatuck Community Band is a volunteer, non-profit organization consisting of musicians from throughout the Naugatuck Valley area and beyond. Members enjoy and take pride in performing music at various events throughout the year.
Come out to support the food bank and enjoy some holiday cheer.

Book swap slated in Seymour May 19
SEYMOUR - The Seymour Lions Club and the Seymour Culture and Arts Commission will sponsor a Meet and Greet Book Swap from 1-3 p.m. May 19 at the Strand Theater, 165 Main St.
Bring any books you no longer want and replace them from the selection of books received. Encyclopedias will not be accepted.
The event will feature author Anthony Paolucci who will read from his book, "Greedy Guts."
He will be selling and signing his books as well.
Come out and meet the people from the community.
Leftover books will be donated to various organizations.
