Hilltop Hose to Host Memorial Tag Sale
ANSONIA- The Spring 2018 Jim “Skinny” Evans Memorial Tag Sale, sponsored by Hilltop Hose Co. #5, will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the firehouse.
The firehouse is located at 80 Pulaski Highway (Rte. 243). The tag sale will be held in the rear garage on Fitzpatrick Drive.

Town-Wide Tag Sale Coming to a Neighborhood Near You

The listing fee of $15 should be made payable to, “Seymour Town Wide Tag Sale,” and dropped off or sent to Lizzie’s Corner Home Consignment and Gifts, 19 Bank St., Seymour, CT 06483. Please include your street address, phone number, and your email address so we can contact you if necessary. Your address will be added to a map for shoppers. Maps will be available the day of the event starting at 7:30 am at Lizzie’s Corner. Maps are free.
The event is open to Seymour residents, businesses and organizations. Out of towners are welcome to set up at Great Hill United Methodist Church. Please contact patandreana@aol.com to reserve a spot at the Church. They are asking for a $15 donation to participate.
All proceeds from registration will be used for advertising, signage, balloons and any other costs associated with the Town Wide Tag Sale.

Ansonia to hold town-wide tag sale

For $5 your address will be added to our Town-Wide Tag Sale Map, which shoppers from all over the Valley can pick up the week of July 21 for $5 at the Ansonia Nature Center to use as an easy guide around town.

Festival in Ansonia to feature health screenings, wellness info, tag sale
'Cool on South Cliff' event slated
ANSONIA - South Cliff Street will be the place to be from 8 a.m.to 2 p.m. May 17 as the Valley Parish Nurse Program at First Congregational Church of Ansonia, 44 South Cliff St., sponsors a wellness fair.
There will be a huge tag sale held at neighboring Christ Episcopal Church, 56 S. Cliff St.
In addition, the Friends of the Ansonia Library will hold a book fair. The library is at 53 S. Cliff St.
Everyone is invited to come and interact with local health fair vendors: Griffin Hospital's health screening van will be there; Griffin Pharmacy staff will discuss pharmacy programs; Visiting Nurse Services of Southern Connecticut will provide information about health care at home; the YMCA in Ansonia will offer information about adult Silver Sneakers and wellness programs as well as children’s day camp and other programs for youth.
Also TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) will offer nutritional information and support; Bankers Life and Casualty representatives will be there to discuss insurance needs including long-term care; and there will be physical therapists on hand providing balance assessments and exercise demonstrations.

Scouts to hold tag sale in Derby
DERBY - Troop 3 Boy
Scouts of America will hold a Giant Tag Sale to raise funds for its upcoming Cross Country Adventure Trip.
There will be an Early Bird Sale,
admission $2, from 6-8 p.m. April 25.
Troop 3, which plans a big trip nearly every
year, was founded in 1914. Membership includes boys from Derby,
Shelton, Seymour, Oxford, and Ansonia.

Church to take part in Seymour tag sale
SEYMOUR - Great Hill United Methodist Church will
participate in the Seymour Town-Wide Tag Sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 3. Rain date is May 10.
In addition to the church’s tag sale table, several church members will have tables.
Proceeds will be used to fund several of the church’s mission projects.

Shelton Historical Society to hold tag sale
SHELTON - The Shelton Historical Society is holding a Members’ Tag Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.This multi-booth tag sale will be held on the grounds of the Shelton History Center complex, 70 Ripton Road., a half-mile north of the Huntington Green.

Firefighters in Shelton to hold tag sale
SHELTON - White Hills Voluntary Fire Company 5 will hold a Community Tag Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the firehouse, 2 School St.
This is an
outside event but if there is inclement weather the fire company has a
large hall on the second floor that will be used.
There will be a variety of items for sale, including tools, toys, antiques, clothes, Longaberger baskets and much more.

Flea market to benefit Oxford Historical Society
OXFORD - The first Old Homestead Flea Market, sponsored by the Oxford
Historical Society, will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1
p.m. June 22 at the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead, 60 Towner
Lane.
The Society is seeking vendors to
purchase sites at $15 for the day of the sale.
Applications and regulations are available on the Oxford Historical Society website, http://www.oxford-historical-society.org or by calling 203-734-4446.
Reservations for vendors will be available until June 15 or until sold out.
Funds from the flea market will aid in the restoration and preservation of the Twitchell-Rowland Homestead.
The Homestead was built circa 1750 by Joseph Twitchell. When the building was slated for demolition, the Oxford Historical Society was allowed to move the building onto donated land. Since then, members and community volunteers have worked to restore and preserve the building.
As the Society's headquarters, the Homestead provides space for the preservation of local artifacts. The Society is dedicated to preserving and encouraging community interest in the history of Oxford, Connecticut.
The building is used for the display and storage of local artifacts. The building is also used for presenting history programs to the public.
The Homestead Museum is open the public on the first and third Sundays of each month from 2 to 4 p.m.

Tag sale vendors sought in Seymour
SEYMOUR - The Great Hill Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary is planning to host a
giant tag sale next month and is seeking people to reserve a table.
The tag sale will be
held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22 at the Great Hill Hose Company firehouse, 140
Botsford Road.
Rain date is June 23.

to get people to clean out their basements and start collecting items they
would like to sell,” said Joan Gee, auxiliary member.
Gee encouraged people to
reserve a table/space for just $25, which she said will be convenient for
people who don’t want to host a tag sale at their own homes.

OXFORD - A Giant Tag Sale to benefit CT Partnership for Children, Inc. will be held from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Jan. 26 and 27 at Colonial Tavern, 24 Hawley Road.
Entry fee for buyers is a new, unopened box of wipes or package of diapers for the CT Partnership for Children Diaper Bank.
Hotdogs, popcorn, cookies, and beverages will be available for a minimal charge. There also will be a 50/50 raffle.
All proceeds go directly to CT Partnership for Children, Inc. a 501(c)(3) organization that supports low-income children in Connecticut.
Vendors are sought. Space is limited; only 20 tables are available. Vendor space available until Jan. 25. Fee is $25/table for one day or $40 for both days.
