Ansonia High School's PTSO selling March 22 Sound Tigers tickets, proceeds go to Post Prom Party

ANSONIA >> Tickets are available to see the Bridgeport Sound Tigers vs. the Binghamton Senators on March 22, with a portion of the ticket money benefiting the Ansonia High School PTSO to raise money for the Post Prom Party. Griffin, Bridgeport Sound Tigers team to raise funds for men's health

DERBY - Griffin Hospital and The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are teaming up to bring men’s health to center ice by offering reduced price tickets for the Nov. 29 game against The Hartford Wolf Pack at the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport.

Griffin Pharmacy & Gifts, located on the hospital ground floor at 130 Division St., will be selling $20 tickets to the 7 p.m. game (normally priced at $34). 

Purchasers will receive a receipt for their tickets and will pick them up at the Webster Bank Arena Will Call window on game day. 

The reduced price ticket sales end at 7 p.m. Nov. 26.

Proceeds from the sales will benefit Griffin Hospital’s Health Initiative for Men (HiM). The game will also feature many men’s health education and awareness activities especially the Sound Tigers'

involvement in the “Movember” movement, which encourages men to grow their mustaches (or Mo’s) during the month of November to show their support for health issues that affect men, such as prostate and testicular cancer.

Fake mustaches will be on sale at Griffin Hospital Pharmacy & Gifts for those who want to bring a Mo’ to the game.

About The Health Initiative for Men (HiM)

In an effort to help inspire men to have an annual physical and to raise awareness about men’s health issues such as prostate cancer and colorectal cancer, Griffin Hospital launched the Health Initiative for Men (HiM), a community-wide preventive healthcare effort.
The goal of the HiM is to influence men to see their physician annually, and to be screened for various diseases that respond better to treatment if detected early.
