Middletown teen extricated from vehicle after hitting tree in Shelton

SHELTON — A Middletown teenager was extricated from the vehicle she was driving Sunday after it hit a tree on Shelton Avenue near Pine Street.
Police said Monday the incident is under investigation by the Shelton Police Traffic Division.
A vehicle driven by Angelica Nimaltseva, 18, of Middletown struck a tree around 10 a.m. New Year’s Day. According to police, she was extricated from the vehicle and taken to an area hospital.
No enforcement action has been taken by police. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the police department at 203-924-1544 ext. 435.
