American Legion walks in Shelton, West Haven to benefit hospital

American Legion Department of Connecticut’s Second and Third District, including all of the Legion Posts in New Haven and Fairfield County, invite the public to join in a Walk-a-thon to benefit the Connecticut Children’s Hospital. 
The Second and Third District in conjunction with the American Legion Department of Connecticut are sponsoring the Kids Walk to raise money for Connecticut Children's Hospital. 

The walks will take place simultaneously at 10 a.m. April 19.   Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
The Second District walk will be held on the West Haven Beach Boardwalk, and the Third District walk will step off at Veterans Memorial Park on the Riverwalk in Shelton. 
The day's event will include a one to three-mile walk. 
Bottled water and snacks will be provided for walkers. T-shirts will be awarded to walkers with $25 or more in sponsor donations.    
Along with the general public, alumni of American Legion programs are encouraged to join in the walk.  
Legion program alumni are men and women who have benefited from programs such as Boys State, Girls State, Legion Baseball, youth groups sponsored by the Legion.   

All pledges and donations to the Kids Walk will benefit the Connecticut Children’s Hospital.   
The walk will also be an opportunity for Legion Program Alumni to catch up with old friends.  All are welcome to attend.
