DERBY – Kara Rochelle, Democratic
candidate for state representative for the 104th Assembly District (Ansonia and
Derby) received the endorsement of the Connecticut American Federation of Labor
and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), which represents 80 local
unions and over 200,000 active union members in the state from the private
sector, public sector, and building trades.
“I’m tremendously honored to have
the endorsement of CT’s AFL-CIO, whose members are our neighbors in the 104th
and across the entire state," Rochelle said. "The Naugatuck Valley has always believed that
hardworking men and women deserve a fair shake and the ability to make a decent
living to support their families. I will proudly stand for this value. Having
strong public and private sector unions ensures fairness and the safety of
Connecticut’s workers. I look forward to representing the AFL-CIO’s membership
and all in our community as we work together to build a vital, stable, and
prosperous Valley and state."
