DERBY - The Derby Public Library has
scheduled its next Lunchtime Book Discussion for 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30.
The selected title is the funny, poignant, and terrifying novel, The Good House by Ann Leary. It tells the story of Hildy Good, successful real estate broker, good neighbor, mother and grandmother. She is also an alcoholic.
It involves a scandal, some mysticism, babies, old houses, drinking and desire. This is a classic New England tale with colorful characters that bares the secrets of one little town.

Participants are asked to bring a sandwich and a friend as they “chat and chew.”
Dessert and beverages will be provided. Registration is requested.
