DERBY >> The Derby Neck Library, 307 Hawthorne Ave., will offer an Evening Book Club on Monday, Oct. 27 at 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Run by Patricia E. Sweeney, Ph.D., of the library staff, this club focuses on memoirs, fiction, history and similar topics in novella length editions. The book for October is “Riding in Cars with Boys” by Wallingford native Beverly Donofrio. Copies of the book are available to be checked out at the library.
This is a new club (September was the first meeting), which will meet on the final Monday of each month. For further information, call the library at 203-734-1492.
