DERBY >> Police arrested a 13-year-old female student Wednesday in
connection with a bomb threat made at Derby Middle School this week that sent
the school into a lock-in and forced officials to close for a day so police
could conduct a thorough sweep of the building.
According to a press release issued by Police Chief Gerald Narowski, the girl
is an 8th grader at the school and was charged with one count of threatening
first degree and breach of peace. She is scheduled to appear in Superior Court
