DERBY >> Mayor Anita Dugatto Tuesday appointed new members to fill the
seats vacated by four members of the Parking Authority who abruptly resigned
last month.
During a special meeting of the Board of Aldermen, Dugatto presented three
options, but ultimately exercised her authority as mayor to name new members,
which doesn’t require aldermen approval.
“What a monumental waste of time,” said Aldermen David Lenart following the
meeting. Lenart preferred disbanding the authority, in favor of
privatization.
