DERBY >> Walgreens Pharmacy is not going to be located at the corner of
happy and healthy anymore, or in Derby’s case, at the corner of Pershing Drive
and Division Street.
That’s because the pharmacy giant has “pulled out” of its approved plans to
raze the Red Raider Plaza they own and build a 14,524 sq. ft. store there.
City Building Inspector Carlo Sarmiento said Wednesday that he met with
Walgreens officials last week for a building update, and that’s when he learned
that the project is off.
