DERBY - Children are invited to Derby Neck Library, 307 Hawthorne Ave. from 6-7 p.m., Sept. 19 to read to the therapy dogs, Thor and Cosmo.
Parents may register a child for a 15-minute session with one of the two St. Bernard dogs by calling 203-734-1492.
Culture club to meet
At 12:30 p.m. Sept. 17 the Culture Club meets at the Library. This discussion group focuses on literature, history, and related arts.
The September meeting features the moderator discussing autumn poetry, and participants may bring items of literature to share.
