ANSONIA — Capt. Theresa Burkholder of the Greater Valley Salvation Army is asking the community to help children start off the school year right.
She is seeking donations of pens, pencils, notebooks and the like to fill backpacks.
Backpacks filled with supplies will be distributed at an annual Back to School Fun Fest from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 28 at Salvation Army headquarters, 26 Lester St.
